About Us

The Ozarks Materials Exchange is a free service that links organizations who have reusable goods they no longer need to those who can use them.  This re-use network offers an alternative to disposing of surplus, used or leftover items; industrial by-products; or any other unwanted but usable materials.  By providing reuse opportunities for materials you would normally throw away, the OME helps you prevent waste and reduce environmental impacts at the same time that you save on disposal costs.  It also helps end users save on acquisition costs.

The OME is a service offered and maintained by the Partnership for Sustainability, with funding support for its creation provided by the Missouri Solid Waste District O and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Users that post materials with the OME can:

  • Reduce waste disposal costs
  • Receive tax deductions and support nonprofits through in-kind support
  • Enhance the environmental image of your company
  •  Reduce environmental impacts

Users that obtain free materials from the OME can:

  • Lower purchase costs
  • Connect with potential supporters
  • Reduce environmental impacts
